Listening Activities:

"Making Sounds in Sequence"

to help develop memory and attentional abilities

Make sounds somewhere like:

      tapping on the table

      clapping

      whistling

      walking

      marching

      book slamming

      scratching

      what else can you do?

Identify single sounds then then ease into a sequence of sounds.  Ask your child to identify the sounds by either doing them themselfs or by telling with words.

With animal noises ,like, moo moo oink oink- You and your child make a sequence of animal noises repeating and adding.  This is fun!

Hide an object that makes noise and ask your child to go find it somewhere in the house.  This is a fun game.  Then ask your child to hide it for you and then you go find it in the house.
