My name is Mikella Eichen and this is my 8th year of teaching the 3rd grade.  I graduated from Plymouth State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Childhood Studies and a teacher certification K-8 in Elementary Education.

I won the first Liberal Arts Scholarship from Plymouth State in 1996.  The scholarship required  that I participate with the Contemporary Dance Ensemble performing at special events and to be an active participant in dance classes.  I was a Dance Team member dancing at the football and basketball games.

After graduation I got a 3rd grade teaching job at the Whitefield School where I taught for 2 years.  During my years of teaching I decided that I wanted more of a challenge so I opened and operated my own dance business.  I taught hip hop, modern, lyrical, jazz and tap from age 3 to age 45.  We performed at local events, community centers and held an annual dance performance.

In 2003, I met my husband Larry Eichen at a wedding at the Atkinson Country Club.  We were married in 2007 and had our son Jackson Eichen in 2008.

I love to teach and hold high expectations for all, including myself.  Currently, I am taking courses towards a Master's Degree in Leadership.

Although time is limited with a dog (Lloyd Christmas), a 3 year-old, a husband and teaching the 3rd grade I enjoy walking, exercising, shopping and spending time with my family.
