Be Responsible Be Prepared Be Respectful

   

           The children are preparing for their trip to the New England Aquarium.  They have been observing their triops after they hatched.  A card game that has all the different sea creatures has beened played to show the food chain  The children are learning many new things about the underground world of the sea.

      Biographies are the main focus in reading.  The children have all been assigned a book.  They have been given lots of time to read and conference.  Now they should be working on their assignment at home.

     Writing with a topcs and supporting details are being worked on in English.  The children have been given graphic organizer sheets to put their ideas on and then transferring them onto white paper in paragraph form.

     Fractions is the curriculum in math.  Hands on activities, games and worksheets have been used to teach this concept.  Remember that math needs a foundation to be successful and students must practice and learn their times tables.  After all you must be able to multiply to divide and divide to understand fractions www. multiplication.com is a great site to practice.
