The procedure for Spelling homework is the same pattern Mondays-Thursdays. SEE Below

The only way it will change if we have a shortened week. It will result in fewer words and will be indicated in their planners.

Please check and sign planners every night for homework and important dates of upcoming tests and events.

Spelling Homework

Every Monday night students are assigned to write the week's Spelling words three times each #1-19, odd words only and write the definitions for these odd numbered words. I expect dictionary use but if the dictionary does not have a word then one may look it up on the internet. refdesk.com is one site. Always have a parent supervise. Thanks!

Every Tuesday night the week's words are to be written three times each#2-20, even words only and write each even word in a fourth grade quality sentence.

Every Wednesday night all 25 words, including the core words, are to be written in ABC(alphabetical)order.

Every Thursday night  there is no assigned written Spelling work. Study for the test maybe by taking a practice test   Students should study a little each night of the week for the Spelling test on Fridays. Students should start studying as soon as the words are given on Mondays.

Reading Homework

Students should be reading 15 minutes every evening Monday-Friday. Weekends too. They need to complete three reader response journals a week. They should always have a chapter book

Math Homework

As often as possible students should be memorizing the multiplication times tables 0-12 and division facts 0-12.

Study Links and review skills sheets.
