About Mrs. kane

              Welcome to 6th Grade Mathematics with Mrs. Kane!  Here is some information about me that I hope you find helpful.

              I graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1997 with a B.S. in Mathematics Education and a Middle School/Jr. High concentration.  I continued at UNH, getting a Masters in Education in 1998.  While working on my Master’s degree I completed a year-long internship at Dover Middle School, co-teaching in both the sixth and eighth grades.  Having a degree and experience in the specialty I teach makes me “Highly Qualified” under the No Child Left Behind Law.

              I started here at the Ellis School in the fall of 1998 – my first job out of college!  Beginning at a smaller community school allowed me a wonderful, friendly, safe place to grow as a teacher.  I have enjoyed being a part of the positive changes the Ellis School has experienced over the last 10 years and hope to continue to bring quality education to the students of Fremont for years to come.

              I currently live in Strafford, NH with my husband, two young sons, two cats, and a dog.
