A Web Hunt: Christopher Columbus?
Adapted from an activity by Scholastic.com
Going on a major expedition costs a lot of money! Where did Columbus say he wanted to sail that convinced King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella to pay for his journey? To find the answer, read the first two paragraphs of this article. Was Christopher Columbus the first person to discover the Americas? Should we celebrate Columbus Day?
Let's continue our exploration: Click this link and save it to your folder. Then go to start, my documents to open it.

Media Importing
Upload your presentations and images and transform them into collaborative conversations. Use images: JPG, GIF, BMP, PNG; docs: PPT, PPS, PDF, DOC, XLS; and videos.
Video Doodling
Video Doodling allows you to control the playback of a video as you comment using a mic or webcam, giving you the power to voice comment over specific segments of video. Move to a spot, doodle, then move to another, all while commenting.
Sharing
Any way you want it - from completely private to completely open and many many stops in between. Simple security settings allow you to adjust who can do what. Change settings as often as you like, so invite, uninvite, and then re-invite uncle Monte.
Moderation
Comment moderation puts you in charge of the conversation. Safely curate one hundred comments down to the best 5 and turn an epic into a blast of succinct story-telling. Think competitive poetry slams, debates, singing - just to name a few.
Commenting
By Voice, Text, Audio file, or Webcam. Really simple voice recording within your web browser allows you to collect the voices of an entire group on a single page. All you need is a mic and Flash Player 7+. Capturing voices on the web couldn't be easier.
Doodling
The Doodler is a new way of annotating. It captures your drawing as an animation synced to your voice or text commentary. Instead of seeing the final product of your thoughts, viewers can see the actual process. Doodling delivers a sense of live presence.
