Fremont School District

CHILD FIND NOTICE

Fremont School District, SAU 83, has a duty to locate, evaluate and identify any child ages 0-21 residing in the District who may qualify for regular or special education and related aids and services (i.e., 504 accommodations), pursuant to Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and the New Hampshire Code of Administrative Rules Chapter Ed 1100 (the Standards for the Education of Children with Disabilities, specifically Part Ed 1105).

Children eligible for accommodations or services include those children who have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity. Child Find is a process offered by Fremont School District to determine if educational evaluations may be necessary. This system can help determine whether your child is eligible for special education services or Section 504 accommodations and guide you through next steps. Anyone ages 0 through 21 years old who resides within the town of Fremont is eligible to be evaluated, whether or not the child is homeschooled or enrolled in a private school.

If you suspect your child has a disability and may need accommodations or services, or if you would like additional information, contact:
