Yesterday morning, Mrs. Simard and Ms. Almon hosted a special breakfast for our Big and Little Eagles! Did you know that our Big Eagle peer mentoring program has grown to include over 60 students this year?!

There is magic in watching our kids sing, play an instrument or perform on stage! We want to thank you for coming together as a community to cheer on our nervous performers and celebrate the lifelong memories that these long standing traditions create!

Last week two representatives from Team Good Vibes delivered the more than 100 brand new pajamas that they collected throughout the month of November. Ingrid made a delivery to the Friends Program in Concord and Hazel delivered to the Upper Room in Derry!

This afternoon our 7th grade led a Community Meeting that was filled to the brim with JOY! After the singing and dancing, our Student Council and Sgt. Buckley presented the nearly 600 toys that our Ellis Eagles and the greater Fremont Community donated to Toys for Tots!
We want to highlight the leadership that our Student Council demonstrated throughout the Toys for Tots drive. Earlier this month, the Student Senators voted to spend $500 of their budget to purchase dozens of toys for kids in need and hosted a Winter Dance where attendees had the option of bringing a new, unwrapped toy in lieu of the cost of admission.

This morning, Mrs. Scott and Mrs. Dobson, alongside Mrs. Smith, presented at the Christa McAuliffe Transforming, Teaching and Technology Conference! Their presentation, Data Rocks! How One Team Engaged Learners With Data shared how the CARE Squad creates a classroom culture of goal setting, growth and celebration!
We are so proud of their instructional expertise, innovation and collaborative spirit.

Back in October, our civic minded learners in Team Good Vibes set an ambitious goal of collecting 120 sets of new pajamas for local community members in need. As of today, they have collected 82 pairs and there are only THREE days left! Can you help them meet their goal?!

We want to extend our sincere gratitude to the Children's Community Fund for their generous financial donation and the Exeter Fire Department for their donation of several warm winter coats. We are also incredibly grateful to Mrs. Schipano, Mrs. Simard and Ms. Almon for organizing, shopping and outfitting several students in all of the necessary clothing and footwear to keep warm this winter!

Now that the Primary date has been set in New Hampshire, we have updated our calendar to reflect the change. January 23, 2024 will be a professional day - no student day and February 13, 2024 will now be a regular student day. The calendar is available on our website: sau83.org

Good afternoon,
Our Eagles just completed a brief clear hallways due to an individual with a medical emergency. Once again, learners did an excellent job following expectations and learning continued in classrooms while the individual was attended to.
Thank you, Ms. Connelly
